Lawyer Agreement

All work on this site is pro bono, limited scope representation, covered under the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct 1.2(c) and 6.5. The attorney-client relationship is limited in scope and duration. You are only providing an answer and advice to a specific question and are not agreeing to provide any further representation. You will not use the site to solicit clients for commercial purposes.

If you continue contact with a client outside of the site, or conduct ongoing representation, it is not covered by the scope of this agreement. In that case, you may wish to execute a separate agreement with the client.

That you will verify that you do not know of a conflict, or possible conflict of interest, based on the information provided by the client at the time you respond to the question. For more information about conflicts of interest, please see our FAQ’s.

Your name will be visible to the client you advise. No other contact information is made available, unless you choose to do so. All contact between you and the client flows through the site by default.

Our office (State Support) will maintain records of client names, attorney names, and question communication. We will maintain the security of this site and that information. We may review questions and answers to monitor effectiveness of the project and to provide additional referrals to clients as appropriate. That you are licensed to practice law in Minnesota and you will respond to all questions based on Minnesota law and/or federal law.
